The Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children, established in 1890, is one of the leading specialty health care facilities for women and children. It features a 24-hour pediatric emergency room, pediatric intensive care unit and adolescent unit. The center specializes in newborn care with on-site, 24-hour specialist physicians. The Kapi'olani Medical Center for Women & Children provides specialized services for various types of women cancers that include prevention and treatment of gynecological cancers, such as ovarian, endometrial, cervical, vulva and vaginal cancers. The center offers a variety of inpatient and out-patient services, including developmental, behavioral, hemophilia, thrombosis, neonatal, respiratory and rehabilitation.
