Cloward Instruments was founded by Dr. Cloward, a spine surgeon renowned for his development of operating techniques and his design and invention of surgical instruments. Since Dr. Cloward s death in 2000, his son, Kerry Cloward, has taken over the running of the family business. The company s instruments are designed with specific procedures and techniques in mind. Its instruments for bone removing include curette, osteophyte elevator, dowel cutter, drill, osteotome/chisel and rongeur. Cloward s bone manipulating tools include bone piercing instruments, dislocation reducers, graft impactors, graft positioners and vertebra spreaders. The company also provides a variety of measuring, tissue removing, tissue retracting and patient positioning instruments. Cloward also provides cervical and lumbar kits and Hawaiian-made, 100 percent cotton scrubs. Cloward Instruments is located in Honolulu.
