Randy Lewis, Chef and Owner of Linani's, in the restored Sherman Mansion, 1825, (11 N. Main St., aka Route 11 in Homer) is a fantastic chef! Easy to work with. Imaginative. Always a smile and warm greeting for all! Every Thursday and Friday, 5-7 PM (only $15.95), Randy has a terrific buffet of 3 main dishes (sometimes four: all different ways chicken & beef; roast pork loin, meatballs, vegetarian pasta, ), five or more salads, desserts galore at his "Dessert Bar" (cheese cake, carrot cake, pies & more), coffee/tea, wine glasses for bring your own wine. I love especially his chicken marsala and lemon chicken, but everything is scrumptious. And, no one makes whipped potatoes, and bread stuffing (even my mother!) like Randy. Linani's, now more than a wonderful factory, is an exquisite place to have a wedding (the long stairs every bride dreams to walk down), family party, shower, club meeting and more. The food is fantastic (very healthy and tasty), the ambiance of the recently restored Sherman Mansion (1825) is wonderful: hardwood floors in wonderful designs, chandeliers, coal fireplaces, paintings and photos of Historic Homer, NY. Each Thursday evening from 5-7PM, the Mansion is open to all for a buffet consisting of (the last time my husband and I dined there) of 6 salads! (and the salads are are superb--no tossed salads with tomatoes just on the top!) and three entres (top round of beef, vegetarian & marsalla chicken), steamed veggies, crusty bread and a dessert bar of many fantastic cakes and pies. Iced tea, coffee, hot tea, included, all for only $17.25! Luncheons for groups are truly wonderful, too! So, stop by on Thursday--seeing & tasting are believing!

Showed the" Dear Gov. Cuomo" movie Sunday at Briggs Hall. Randy was an excellent host, very helpful and accommodating to the group assembled there. Recommend him for any type of event. CS

Attended their first Thursday night offering to the general public, my only complaint is that I did not think the food was hot or even luke warm.. The flavor of everything was great I just wish they could keep the food hotter.
