Memorial Funeral Home and Life Insurance Company have been in existence for nearly sixty (60) years. Memorial was founded by the venerable visionary Rogers C. Jackson, Sr. along with Collie Webb, Josephine Miller, Rev. C. Boyd, Jasper Thomas, and Hardy Harris.The company began with a dream of Mr. Jackson's desire to provide the best funeral service available at the height of segregation and in the midst of African Americans' struggles. Memorial's first funeral home was located in the community of Cotton Valley. With God's blessings, a drive to serve and countless volunteers and believers in Mr. Jackson's dream, the company grew and now serves hundreds of families in five (5) locations across northwest Louisiana.
