Dr. Arlet Lopez Neyra began his journey in dentistry in Cuba in 1995 when he graduated from dental school. Five years later, he finished a specialty in oral surgery. Pursuing political freedom, Dr. Lopez Neyra left Cuba and worked as a dentist in Venezuela and Colombia. In 2013, he came to the United States and worked as a dental assistant until he fulfilled the requirements to get accepted into the Rutgers school of dental medicine in Newark, New Jersey, where he obtained his DMD in May 2019. Dr. Lopez Neyra is a member of the ADA and FDA. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and soccer. He chose dentistry for his career for life because, within a single visit, a dentist can experience the satisfaction, privilege and joy of positively transforming a patient’s life by restoring their oral health.
