Please read! My dog had an emergency after hours and we were referred to this clinic. The estimate of $800 and would take 1.5 hrs. and then we could take him home. When I returned in 1.5 hours I had to pay $950 He told me that my dog needed to have surgery estimated at $1,800-$3,000. At 6:30am the Dr. called telling me that my dog was doing great, but he was bitten by my dog. He said that it was not a bad bite and that it was always a possibility with his job. Imagine my surprise when I get a phone call from the Wake County Sheriff’s dpt. telling me that my dog had to be quarantined for 10 days (all of his shots are up to date including rabies). I was also told by the vet that if he was not taken to surgery immediately he would die. I told the Wake County officer that my dog needed to have emergency surgery and that he would die if quarantined and not allowed to have the surgery. He is having this surgery at him normal vet right now for $788 at his normal vet!
