Buffalo Valley has been providing a range of support services for the low-income and homeless residents of Tennessee for more than 30 years. It offers alcohol and substance abuse treatment, transitional and permanent housing, and economic and community development services. The organization serves over 1,200 patients every year. Buffalo Valley s treatment procedures include job training and placement assistance, GED preparation classes, case management, housing and counseling. It operates nearly 20 housing programs and more than 650 residential units. The organization administers self-help programs to assist families build their own homes. It also conducts a program that grants down payment assistance to homebuilders. In addition, Buffalo Valley maintains a housing division, Valley Housing, which provides affordable housing options for individuals. The organization is accredited by The Joint Commission.
