The Hoboken Fire Department protects lives, homes and property of citizens and visitors from the ravages of fire and other disasters. Based in Hoboken, N.J., the department houses specialized equipment, such as thermal imaging camera, atmosphere monitors, hoses and Cardiac defibrillator, to name a few. Additionally, it provides training, education and safety program related to fire problems. The Insurance Service Organization (ISO), a Commercial Fire Insurance Rating Agency, designated the Hoboken Fire Department as the 24th Class 1 Fire Department in the country.
