Established in 1932, Camp Taconic is a family-owned residential camp. It serves boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 16. The camp offers a variety of extracurricular activities, including horseback riding, golf, baseball, football, weight training, volleyball, roller hockey and gymnastics. The camp conducts learning sessions in arts and technology and theater. In addition, it provides opportunities for various adventures, including hiking, wall climbing and circus. Its waterfront activities include canoeing, kayaking, surfing and swimming. Camp Taconic conducts various camps for students in grades third through fifth. Additionally, it conducts classes in costume making, painting and drawing, photography and carpentry. Its facility is available on rent for various occasions, such as corporate retreats, weddings, family reunions and sports training camps. Camp Taconic maintains a camp in Hinsdale, Mass.
