  The pavement ant, Tetramorium immigrans, is also known as the immigrant pavement ant and the sugar ant. Its common name comes from the fact that colonies in North America usually make their nests under pavement. This is one of the most commonly seen ants in North America, being well adapted to urban and suburban habitats. It is distinguished by one pair of spines on the back, two nodes on the petiole, and grooves on the head and thorax.

They can look a bit like an apple seed. Young bedbugs, or “nymphs” start very very small and go through 5 life stages to reach adulthood.

  Fleas are small insects that feed on the blood of mammals (humans included) and birds. A full-grown adult flea can reach approximately.13 inches and can be seen by the naked eye but do a great job at hiding. Fleas are reddish brown and can look a bit like a freckle. The flea life cycle has 4 stages (egg, pupa, larva, adult) and usually lasts 3 – 4 weeks.  In ideal circumstances, when heat and humidity are ideal, the egg to adult stage takes 12 – 22 days.
