This place was recommended to us by several locals at a Hilo hotel on Banyan Drive nearby. They thought it was "the best place around" and while we certainly did not visit very many restaurants during our stay on the Big Island, this just has to be one of the very best. It's a fun place (go there and you'll see what I mean), it has a huge menu of absolutely everything (don't let "house of pancakes" fool you: there's a lot to the menu than pancakes), staff is friendly and quick, food is excellent, prices make sense.

One of the most quoted landmarks to direct visitors, newcomers and locals around Hilo. Friendly staff, plenty of seating, casual dining, LARGE menu. Classic diner food, local kine grindz, breakfast. One of the few 24 hour restaurants in Hilo. Try their loco moco, rice topped with hamburger patty, eggs and gravy. Enough for one HUNGRY fellow or 2 can split. Low Carbers, plenty enough to find here.Mahalo plenty!
