UNSAFE, UNPROFESSIONAL
On Thursday morning, December 18, 2014, I was traveling on 295 North behind a Klein Recycling truck when a piece of metal flew out of the truck, struck, and shattered my windshield. When I pulled alongside the truck to identify the company, the driver took evasive action and swerved off to an exit ramp at mile-marker 58.1 for the “scenic overlook.” I called the company immediately to report the incident and was passed through two people until reaching “Pat”. He was rude and abrupt and told me three times the company bore no responsibility. He did not seek to verify facts, but rushed me off the phone. Subsequently, I have emailed the owner of Klein Recycling twice asking him to do the honorable thing and replace my windshield – nothing more. I have yet to receive the courtesy of a response.

I had hope for these guys but unfortunately they fall into the negative stereotype of many metal recyclers. They don't stand behind their word and they are sly with no clue how to treat customers. The president is cocky and could truly care less about anyone but himself. The window guy has serious mental issues. They appear to hire many illegal aliens to boot. I think the INS needs to pay them a visit. I sure hope I'm wrong. I would recommend going to any other recycler over Klein. Very disappointing.

Very helpful, clean facility and they pay the highest prices I have seen in the area.
Great Scrap Yard. The yard is very clean, not like these other mud pits. It can be busy there are times, but I guess that just shows they pay the most and it is the best place around!
Horrible customer service, absolutely atrocious. My fiance and I drove a trailer in with one box of scrap metal to drop off from my storage unit and found the place was a mad house. No direction on what to do or where to drive, wasn't even worth it to try to get paid for what we dumped. We left empty handed and will never go back.
