I admitted my mother and all was going well until I had to leave for 3 weeks. When I returned her health and appearance had deteriorated to such an extent that I barely recognized my Mom. She passed away 3 days later (on Easter Sunday). I had to tell them to call the paramedics because she was dying. She was severely dehydrarted and anemic and subsequently these diagnoses were 2 of the facts that contributed to her death. I regret ever having admitted her there and I will have to live with this decision until the day I die. I only wanted her to be well enough so that I could take her home again.
