Economic Development Corporation of Jefferson County ( EDC ) is the top professional business assistance organization in Jefferson County. The EDC is a not-for-profit, public corporation providing a full range of services to help meet growing business' needs in the county. The EDC is the umbrella agency for the Industrial Development Authority ( IDA ), which issues Industrial Revenue Bonds ( IRB ), and Jefferson County Port Authority.
