Beacon Elementary School is a part of the Hilliard City School District, which serves more than 15,000 students. The school offers academic programs to students in kindergarten through grade five. Established in 1968, the school conducts classes in reading, writing, basic skills, English, math, science, social studies, music, and health and physical education. Beacon Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that organizes educationally centered community events throughout the year. The school has a media center that assists students in the development of information research skills. Beacon Elementary School also offers an accelerated reader program that puts emphasis on students reading skills. The school has a parent-teacher organization that organizes fundraising activities that culturally and fundamentally promote the welfare of students and enhance their overall learning experience.
