We absolutely love our house and being part of the Hill community. For the size of our house (family of 5) with the utilities included, we would be paying double off base. Being close to the organizations on base & having a 2 minute commute are wonderful. We don't mind following the rules of Boyer Hill & like to keep our home nice for us & future tenants. But with this choice comes the negative, working with Boyer Hill. While the maintenance workers are helpful & friendly, the supervisors and officer works are unreliable & unprofessional. The leasing agents are known to give many people the "run around" & often times make commitments they do not keep. The supervisors choose the "bottom line" over safety & well being of their residents. Their practices are often dishonest and frustrating. We have felt replaceable and helpless at times. For us it's a choice, we prefer the financial savings & ease of living on on base over the frustrations of Boyer Hills practices.

Definitely do not live on this base. I feel that the housing office is inconsistent in their management operations. But, they do let people out of their leases if they complain enough about a problem. It's easier to let someone out of a lease than it is to actually fix the problem, at least that's how it seemed to me.

Live off-base. Housing should never have been privatized. Under the contract they can pretty much do what they want and the military can't do anything but wait for the contract to run out. You can't even get people kicked out of housing anymore for bad behavior. Just as the previous reviewer said, they change the rules to accomodate certain people. Their new houses are already falling apart. You can hear everything through the walls. It was a big mistake moving on base.

I live on base at Hill AFB, and Boyer Hill is horrible. They allow one tenant to do something but tell another that will give them 'special permission' to do the very same thing. In fact, they change the rules to accommodate Boyer Hill employees WHO SHOULDN'T BE LIVING ON BASE ANYWAY. They promise thick 'turf grass' lawns, and after at least 3 passes spraying hydro seed, and after more than 2 years living on base, we finally have something resembling a lawn, but it is nothing close to what they promised. Half of our backyard is bald still. Yet, the houses built after ours get sod, so their lawns are much more thick and full. We have experienced more power outages in 2 years here than in 10 years of renting! Every time a stiff wind blows, the power goes out, and they can neither be reached, nor do they take any responsibility for those with special needs during the power outage. In short, no military will want to live on base here in 10 years. That is my prediction
