Southwest Elementary School is a part of Guilford County Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Southwest Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, specialists, counselors, therapists, psychologists, teaching assistants and custodians. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music, media studies and physical education. Southwest Elementary School offers medical care; occupational and speech therapies; and guidance and counseling services to students. In addition, it provides the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. The school has a parent-teacher association that supports various programs, events and special projects. Southwest Elementary School is located in High Point, N.C.
