Piedmont Chemical Industries is a privately owned chemical manufacturer headquartered in High Point, N.C. Founded in 1938, the corporation has evolved into four different production sites in three states in addition to warehousing and distribution facilities. Its production capabilities include liquid and powder blending, reacting, distilling, refluxing, high-energy mixing, homogenizing and in-line milling. Piedmont Chemical Industries employs more than 200 people who together produce in excess of 75,000 metric tons of products annually. The company markets products to the aerospace, bioremediation, environmental reclamation, cosmetics, mining, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, textiles and metal markets. Its chemicals have been used on applications that range from coatings in submarine air filters to softener on the Apollo moon mission astronauts socks. Piedmont Chemical Industries is ISO 9001:2000 certified.
