Northwood Elementary serves students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Located in High Point, N.C., it provides general music education for all its students. The school s academic curriculum includes language arts, reading, phonics, spelling and math. It also offers an after-school care program for preschool students. Northwood Elementary provides a range of summer activities, such as arts and crafts, drama, computer applications, sports and a variety of adventurous summer camp activities. The school operates a library and media center. Northwood Elementary offers a variety of sports activities, such as volleyball, swimming, basketball, baseball and tennis. In addition, it conducts special education classes for students with special needs. Northwood Elementary is a part of Guilford County Schools.
