Alex Lee is a holding company for several food and warehousing companies in the southeastern United States. Its Merchants Distributors is a privately owned wholesale grocery store distributor. Alex Lee operates Institution Food House, which was founded in 1966 and is one of the largest food distributors in the U.S. Institution Food House also manages several independent retail operations, supermarkets and convenience stores throughout Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky. Alex Lee also owns and manages Consolidation Services, which is a public warehousing company.
