Virginia Home for Boys & Girls is a private, nonprofit children's home providing residential and supportive services to children and families with special needs. The home has an on-site school that provides alternative academic and vocational education to its children. An on-site youth emergency shelter offers temporary shelter and care center for boys and girls including group therapy sessions, psychiatric and psychological support. The home is licensed by the Interdepartmental Regulation of Residential Facilities for Children and the Department of Education. It is also affiliated with the Virginia Association of Independent Special Education Facilities, Alliance for Children and Families, Virginia Association of Children Homes and Council on Residential Education.
