In the tradition of the great barbecue joints of Kansas City ( ie: Arthur Bryant’s and Gates BBQ), Scott Bonds has created a roadside smokehouse barbecue right in Richmond’s west end on Patterson Avenue. Right next to THE LUBE CENTER which coincidentally is also owned by Scott and Kay Bonds, TD’S Smokehouse smokes all their meats: Pork, Beef, Chicken and Ribs, right on the premises. If driving down Patterson be sure to roll your window down to capture the fantastic aroma of high quality meats being slow cooked over burning hickory. Scott, growing up in the Kansas City area learned to love barbecue. He perfected it while attending LSU in southern Louisiana. That’s why TD’S also offers the unique dishes of Chicken and Sausage Jambalaya and Red Beans and Rice along with the traditional sides of Baked beans, Country Potato Salad and Homestyle Coleslaw along with Southern-Style Green beans, Baked Macaroni and Cheese and homemade Bread Pudding.TD’S has a barbecue sauce for most everyone’s taste. Our most popular, TD’S Original, is a seasoned sweet red sauce traditional Kansas City Style or an Eastern North Carolina sauce, vinegaret with a bite of heat. Just make sure to notify us of your preference, otherwise you get the original. TD’S also can boast about having the best chili dog in the West End of Richmond (see WEST END’S BEST MAGAZINE ) using Nathan’s All Beef Hot Dogs and TD’S Three Meat Chili.
