Highland Springs High School provides academic instruction and learning options to more than 1,800 students in grades 9 through 12. The school s academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, geography, psychology, chemistry, biology and engineering design. It also conducts classes in French, Spanish, business, marketing, technical education and fine arts. Highland Springs High School provides a range of sports activities that includes football, basketball, wrestling, and track and field. The school operates a band and library, as well as organizes field trips. In addition, it offers special education and English as a Second Language programs. The school maintains a parent-teacher-student association that supports several fundraising activities. Highland Springs High School is governed by Henrico County Public Schools, which serves over 48,000 students through nearly 65 schools.
