- Primary CareErin Johnson was born in Maidens, VA and joined our practice in 2016. She received a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Psychology from Virginia Tech. She graduated with honors from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA where she received her Bachelors and Masters in Nursing. Erin is a Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Alpha Eta Honors Society. She joined our practice with pediatric experience from VCU Health System. Erin loves the diversity that comes with primary care. She enjoys the outdoors, kayaking with her husband and spending time with friends and family.
- Infectious DiseasesBorn in Leicester, England, Dr. Winters joined our practice in 2011. She completed her undergraduate degree, medical degree and residency at the University of Virginia. Dr. Winters was awarded the UVA Janet Jeffries award for Outstanding Pediatric Intern. Dr. Winters is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Prior to joining our practice she worked in private practice in Chicago and was a Richmond hospitalist for several years. Dr. Winters’ medical interests include infectious diseases, sleep concerns and childhood development. She has three boys and enjoys being active in their school’s PTA. In her free time, she likes to travel and explore Richmond with her boys.

- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)Dr. Islam specializes in providing therapy and assessment services to children, adolescents, and young adults. Her areas of interest include anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, eating and body image concerns, and difficulties adjusting to life stressors (e.g. school transitions, family changes). Additionally, she has specific experience working with individuals coping with a wide range of chronic health conditions (e.g. diabetes, cystic fibrosis, Crohn’s disease, obesity). Dr. Islam’s treatment approach is always evidence-based, collaborative, and tailored to meet the needs of each patient and family. She typically incorporates components of cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, positive parenting skills, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring Richmond, trying new restaurants, and DIY projects.

- Mental HealthDr. Lukenbill grew up in Rochester, New York. He attended Villanova University where he received a Bachelor of Science and majored in biology. He received his medical degree from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and completed his pediatric training at VCU. Following residency, he completed an academic fellowship and his Master of Public Health degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. Dr. Lukenbill joined the Pediatric Center in 2021 and is thrilled to be back living back in the Richmond area! Dr. Lukenbill is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. His clinical interests include mental health, environmental health and preventative medicine. In his free time he loves exploring the outdoors with his wife and his golden retriever.
- Behavioral HealthDr. Chun was born in Boston, MA and raised in Fredericksburg, VA. He earned his undergraduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University. After obtaining his medical degree from the University of Virginia, he completed his residency with Dr. Marks at the Medical College of Georgia. He moved to Richmond and joined the Pediatric Center in 1998. Dr. Chun is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He values forming long term relationships with his patients and their families. With a special interest in child and adolescent behavioral health, he is a member of the steering committee for VMAP (Virginia Mental Health Access Program) and is proud that the Pediatric Center offers a model of integrated behavioral healthcare. Dr. Chun was honored to serve as the Bundy Professor of Pediatrics at VCU/CHoR, where he continues to hold the title of Associate Clinical Instructor. He has also been awarded the Mickael M. Kannan Community Pediatric Teaching Award and the AOA Medical Student teaching award at VCU. Dr. Chun is married to his high school sweetheart and has three children. He is an avid sports fan and dog lover and enjoys exercising, traveling, and spending time with his family.
