West Henderson High School is a part of Henderson County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. West Henderson High School offers an academic curriculum that includes various subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. It also offers courses in agricultural science, business education, marketing, carpentry, engineering, and family and consumer science. In addition, West Henderson High School supports a variety of extracurricular programs in fine arts and physical education. It provides foreign language programs in Spanish and French. The school also provides several sports activities, such as basketball, football, volleyball, softball, cross country, swimming, soccer, tennis, wrestling, and track and field. Located in Hendersonville, N.C., West Henderson High School operates various student organizations, including the National Honor Society, a student government, and astronomy, key and drama clubs.
