Dana Elementary School consists of a cafeteria, library, playground, computer lab, administrative offices and classrooms. The school s extracurricular activities include honor roll and spelling and geography bee competitions. It organizes several informational meetings, book fairs, tutorial programs, family nights and parent-teacher conferences. Dana Elementary School s after-school activities include table games, arts and crafts, and physical and restful activities. The school is governed by Henderson County Public Schools and provides education to students in kindergarten through grade five. Its media center houses more than 8,000 items that include textbooks, reference materials, filmstrips, CDs, artwork, and audio and video tapes. Dana Elementary School offer classes in math, science, English, social studies and physical education. The school additionally provides Title 1 and English as a Second Language programs.
