Located in Henderson, Nev., Jim Thorpe Elementary School has an enrollment of more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade two. The school focuses on various subjects, including English, math, social studies and science. It also offers instruction in computer technology, vocal music, art and physical education. Jim Thorpe Elementary School provides special education services for students with developmental disabilities. In addition, it operates a parent-teacher association that sponsors various fundraising events and recreational programs.
