Customers beware.... I am new to the area and like to support local business so I sought out Rancho Vet Tack Feed and Supply for my farm feed and supplies. I spend approximately $1,000 - $1,200 per month on feed for my farm and until today, gave all my business to this one establishment. On my previous visits to this business, the owner-- who works the front counter, was always very helpful and nice. On my last visit, I bought 20 bales of orchard hay which is almost $30 per bale. The gentlemen that was loading my hay slipped and hurt his legs and took a break from loading. After he felt up to it, he finished loading my truck. It is hard to count 20 bales V-stacked and I guess he lost count when he fell. When I got home and off-loaded, there were only 19 bales. It has been two weeks and today when I returned to get another load, I mentioned that I was short one bale on my last order. No big deal considering how much I buy, right? Well, the owner was NOT nice about it at all. She said that I am responsible for counting my load. I explained that there was kind of an unusual circumstance as we got side tracked when the loader got hurt. She said she would give me the one bale, but in a very snotty, condescending voice. When I returned to the counter after loading, she was even more unpleasant than the first trip to the counter. I understand that everyone can have an off day, but I really have a hard time understanding how someone can be so nasty to a customer. She really pushed me over the edge. I have never written a negative review, but felt compelled to share my experience. This really upset me-- did she think that I was trying to trick her out of one free bale of hay after all the hay I buy????? If she would have had a different attitude, she would have had a customer for life. Now I will drive further and avoid this place at all costs.

Very helpful staff, answer any animal or product question, walk you over to what you need, well supplied, always have what I need, best prices around. Been going there for about 7+ years

We had a gray experience at this feed store. It's huge and has everything you need for chicken, horses, dogs, cats, ect. They even sell bunnies, ducks, chickens, horses, goats and emus! And the owner is so helpful. You'll get just what you need and feel confident buying from them. We go there for everything for our animals.
