The Workforce Services Division is a provider of employment and training services. It is a part of the Department of Labor and Industry, which is administered by the city government of Helena in Montana. The division deals in the maintenance of work force systems for the state. Its job service operations bureau coordinates and guides the delivery of work force development services in local communities. The Workforce Services Division, through its continuous improvement unit, provides growth opportunities for employees by designing training programs and conducting workshop, seminars and other presentations on a variety of topics. It assists local managers in the preparation of program delivery systems, local budgets, performance standards and reports. The division s local job service work force center has a staff of more than 10 managers. In addition, its labor market research and analysis bureau compiles and disseminates information on employment, unemployment, wages, injuries and illnesses.
