The Ferguson-Florissant School District provides elementary, middle and high school academic education. It is a consolidated school district that operates various schools, such as the Airport Elementary School, Ferguson Middle School and McCluer North High School. It formulates policies for development of district schools infrastructure and lays down the standards of curriculum for the schools that it governs and administers. The district also has a board of education that holds monthly meetings to conduct the official business of the district. Its board additionally prepares annual financial reports, budget and expenditure and revenue estimates of the district. The Ferguson-Florissant School District also provides early childhood education that includes Head Start programs and continuing education for parents. The district is located in Florissant, Mo., and is accredited by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
