Horizon Services is a nonprofit, community-based organization that offers treatment to reduce alcohol and drug-related problems. It provides substance abuse recovery services, as well as residential and day care detoxification programs. The organization offers a community-based residential program for women recovering from chemical dependency. It also provides Helping Alcoholics and Addicts Learn to Overcome (HAALO), which is a collaborative program of the organization and county government. Horizon Services specializes in offering prevention, intervention and outpatient treatment programs for youths and families. Additionally, it offers life skills training, medical supervision and clinical care services. Located in Hayward, Calif., the organization serves Hayward, San Lorenzo, Castro Valley, San Leandro and other surrounding cities in California.
