Hayward Plunge offers a variety of swimming classes, as well as administers an aquatics program. It provides various fitness and aerobics activities. The facility offers water slides, pool inflatables and tubes for swimmers. Hayward Plunge conducts special events, personal enrichment camp programs and lap swimming activities. It provides lifeguards, equipment, tables and chairs for pool parties. Hayward Plunge is operated by the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District, which is one of the largest recreational districts in California. Established in 1944, the district offers a variety of park and recreational services. The Hayward Area Recreation and Park District maintains several golf courses, tennis courts and athletic fields.
