Applied Photon Technology, founded in 2002 to design and manufacture linear flash and arc lamps, has grown to be a source of lamps for applications in the medical, industrial and scientific markets. Its customers are manufacturers of laser and electro-optical systems for applications in general surgery, dermatology, urology and cosmetic surgeries and demand reliability and quality. The company s 10,000-square-foot facility is designed with new equipment geared to optimize lamp design, fabrication and testing. The manufacturing area is optimized for the flow of material, with computer workstations in key areas for data entry and retrieval. It incorporates Six Sigma principles to achieve reliability and predictability. Applied Photon Technology is headquartered in Hayward, Calif.
