Physician, nurses, therapists, and social workers (spiritual counselors/chaplains) working together to provide quality care. Bereavement support and follow up care for the family. Pediatric Palliative Care &Children's Hospice Our goal is ensure compassionate comprehensive care serving the physical, emotional, social spiritual needs of children with life limited illness & the families. In order for a child to be eligible for Hospice Services, a doctor must diagnose that the child has a life-limiting illness and a life expectancy of 6 months or less. In order for a child to be covered for palliative care, a doctor must diagnose that the child has a life-limiting illness. Such as advanced or progressive cancer, major organ failures, HIV, cystic fibrosis, progressive genetic, neurological or metabolic disorders, renal failure or severe cerebral palsy. Unlike hospice care, the doctor does not need to state that the child will live six months or less. In fact, many children with life-limiting illnesses live a long time. The services of the Pediatric Palliative Care are provided and covered through pre-authorized private insurance program & medicaid Angels Hospice We admit patients 24 hours a day 7 days a week. We accept patients with Medicare or Medi-Cal.We also accept patientswith pre-authorized private insurance programs.
