- FillingsFor generations, dentists have repaired decayed teeth using silver colored (amalgam) fillings. They are a safe and affordable option for tooth decay. Amalgam is a mix of metals, including silver, tin, mercury, copper and zinc. Estimates show that over 100 million Americans have amalgam fillings in their mouths. Nevertheless, they require the removal of more tooth structure and can corrode over time, discoloring the enamel of the tooth that remains. The biggest disadvantage is their silver color, which keeps most dentists from applying amalgam fillings to the front teeth.
- VeneersWhether your teeth are the wrong shape, crooked, stained, chipped, misaligned or even missing, our team will put a smile on your face. With a wide range of options including veneers, Zoom!® teeth whitening, Invisalign® clear teeth aligners, crowns and dental implants, with our team of dentists and periodontists, your winning smile is within reach.
- CrownsTo prepare a tooth for a crown or bridge, the tooth (or teeth) must first be reduced in size so that the crown or bridge will fit over it. The dentist then takes an impression to provide a mold for the fabrication of the crown or bridge. For porcelain crowns, your dentist will determine the correct shade to match the crown or bridge to existing teeth. A temporary crown or bridge is placed to cover the prepared tooth while the permanent crown or bridge is made. A dental lab then uses the impression to make the crown or bridge. Once ready, the temporary is removed and the new crown or bridge is cemented over the prepared tooth or teeth.
- BridgesGood oral hygiene is the best measure you can take to ensure the longevity of your crown or bridge. Brush with a fluoride toothpaste twice a day and floss daily and see your dentist regularly for check ups and cleanings. While with good oral hygiene your crowns and bridges can last a lifetime, they may sometimes come loose or fall out. If the teeth or bone holding a bridge in place is damaged by dental disease, a bridge can get lose. Moreover, to prevent damage to your crown or bridge, avoid chewing hard foods or ice.
- Root Canal Treatment"I came to this office because I had chipped my front tooth. The dentist had to perform a root canal and cap the tooth. I was very worried that the cap wouldn't look good because it was the front tooth but it turned out that the cap (crown) looks just as good or better than the original tooth did. They took the time to do good work and I would recommend them to anyone." Mary
- DenturesComfort: Dental implants fuse into your jawbone, becoming permanent. Unlike dentures, they will stay comfortably in place and do not require messy adhesives.
- Dental ImplantsAppearance: The replacement teeth that dental implants are built to hold will appear identical to your surrounding teeth. No one will know you have a replacement tooth.
