Dr. Bernard (Ben) Hunt grew up in Anaheim, CA, and graduated from UC Irvine with a Bachelors of Science in 1987. He played intercollegiate baseball and was a research assistant in the Human Performance Laboratory of the Division of Orthopedics at UC Irvine. He earned his Osteopathic Degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA in 1991 where he was a classmate of his wife, Dr. Lisa Hunt. He completed his Family Practice Residency at the UC Davis affiliate Stanislaus Medical Center in Modesto, CA in 1994. He became Board Certified in Family Practice in 1994 and is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice. Since residency, Dr. Hunt has served many roles in the Modesto community. He has served as attending physician for the Scenic Faculty Medical Group, faculty preceptor for the Stanislaus Medical Center Family Practice Residency Primary Care Orthopedic Clinic, and preceptor for Family Nurse Practitioner students at Sonoma State. He has been a Board Member of Central Catholic High School, Central Saints Youth football (VP, President), and Valley Physicians IPA (VP). He has been the team physician for 4-time state football champion Central Catholic High School. He has coached and assisted in various youth sports, been an active parent in his children’s athletic and academic activities, and been active in his local church community.
