Community Action supports families, communities and individuals by providing education, training, advocacy and services. The center provides various programs that include children and family support through the Head Start, Haverhill Family Network, day care services and transportation. It also provides work force and training programs through the Adult Learning Center of Greater Haverhill and by offering certified nursing aides. The center offers community services and housing developmental plans, such as the Coastal First Time Home Buyer Program, State and Municipal Affordable Housing Lottery, housing development programs and community action rental management plans. It additionally works to provide information on consumer rights and to mediate disputes between consumers and merchants. Community Action is located in Haverhill, Mass.
