Awful awful people. I would never rent from them again. They are complete but thales about everything. Took over 3 months in the winter to come fix a window which was damaged by a tree falling...they charged me 400 for it when in the lease it says they would fix it. Crooks and ignorance surrounds the inside of that place. Debbie is one of the worst ones. I feel bad for the decent people that possiblyou work there. I hate them. They lost my deposit after renting with them over a year. How do you lose a deposit after our have been staying there a year?!?! Crooks I tell you.
Being a Military family, my husband I have rented from several property companies and apartments. We have never had a more undesirable experience than we did with Town and Country in Havelock, NC. We thought all of the negative reviews prior to moving to NC were just disgruntled tenants post-move out. We lived in one of their properties for just about a year and a half and that was honestly a year and a half too long. Their communication is beyond awful. Whether the maintenance issue is an emergency or not they typically take WEEKS just to respond to the initial request. I could go on and on, but I think the icing on the cake was when our septic tank was full, causing flooding in the carpet behind the toilet, and they told me to sprinkle something on it to smell good. I had to threaten calling the Dept. of Health before they finally sent someone out to drain the tank and clean carpet. This is very typical of them. They are the worst & I do not recommend them AT ALL.
This is the WORST rental agency I have ever rented from in my life. The property was filthy when we got here, the backyard resembled a jungle. There are things that still need repairing that I have been asking to be repaired for over a year. They have an uncanny ability to loose repair tickets multiple times in a row and coming up with new excuses each time. For the major things that needed repairing at the beginning of our lease, I had to send a certified letter. The rudeness with which any of my requests were handled is truly second to none.
I wouldn't recommend this rental company to my worst enemy.
Glad to be moving out. Though it's going to cost me an arm and a leg since they don't take responsibility anything.

NEGATIVE 5 STARS!!!!! They are the worst people to deal with. They don't fix anything, they stand you up for the ever important and intrusive inspections then lie when asked about it. They literally talk crap about you to others including family if they have the number. They look for anything and everything they could possibly charge you for and if they can stretch it into the next month so they get more money they will. ohhh and they are prejudice against MILITARY!
Stay Away!!! This company is rude and will charge you for things that were wrong with the home prior to moving in or things that you called about numerous times while living there. After calling 4 times because of black mold in the bathroom, due to the toilet leaking, they threatened to charge me to replace the flooring. I was also charged for screws that were in the walls when I moved in, baby gate hooks that were in place when I moved in and pine needles that were also in the back yard when I moved in that I had to call about and have fight to get removed. If these things are okay for use to move into and live with then why is it okay to charge me an obscene amount to fix once I move out. Stay away from this company and don't let anyone rent from them. If you do rent, don't plan on getting your deposit back, don't plan on them fixing anything while you live there and be prepared for rude employees on the phone and when you go in to pay your rent.
