- We are specialists in traditional photography and the preservation of all types of traditional photographs, films, and digital images. The photographic materials conservators on staff work with photographs & films from the mid-19th C. to the current digital images. We have 75+ years combined experience with various types of photographs and films. Some of the many services PhotoArts Imaging provides are: Restoration of older, antique, & damaged photographs; Film Processing - all sizes & speeds; Fiber Base silver gelatin B&W prints; Exhibition printing of B&W and Color prints; Original prints restored & copies or enlargements printed, Photographic materials conservation & preservation; and the archiving of photographic & historic documents and collections. Our electronic and time-based media conservator works with most types of A-V materials, including conducting preservation & conservation assessments of collections in museums, archives, libraries' special collections, and family collections. Some of these services offered are: Movie Film Preservation, Digitization, and Transfer Services for all types of 8mm, 16mm Silent & Sound to DVD, Hard Drive discs, Blu-ray disc, or other media of the client's choice; Reformatting of older BETA tapes, VHS tapes, and other types of video & audio tapes to modern digital formats of the clients' choice. PhotoArts Imaging Professionals is an approved lab for the National Park Service HABS/HALS/HAER programs archive, NARA, and the National Historic Registry. We have satisfied clients in 46 states; local & out-of-state references are available upon request.

- PhotoArts Imaging Professionals conservation lab is located at 123 Buchanan Road in Dixie Community, south of Hattiesburg, MS, approximately 1/2 mile west of Highway 49S. Turn west off Highway 49 South onto Rogers Road. Lab is located near the intersection of Rogers Road and Buchanan Road. Client parking in paved lot at front of building. General Info
PhotoArts Imaging Professionals, LLC is a private practice conservation firm dedicated to the care of photographic materials, electronic media & time-based art forms. We are the only conservation firm in the SE U.S. that works with all these media. Our team of conservators specialize in materials from the beginnings of photography, movie films, audio-visual media, such as BETA, VHS, Reel-to-Reel tapes & film, digital images and time-based art. PhotoArts Imaging Professionals are open by appointments on Saturday and after normal business hours. Appointments for collections consultation and/or inspection of damaged materials are necessary for client convenience and availability of a conservator. An alternative to an appointment at our lab is shipping the work to us with contact information and a detailed explanation of the work requested in the project. A phone appointment will be set up when the assessment/estimate is ready for discussion.
