Oct 3, 2016On this date I took my Chevy to Advanced Collision East, 1421 West Pine Hattiesburg Ms for repairs. I had gotten a preliminary estimate prior to on September 27, 2016 of how much it would cost and what all was going to be fixed. I was called on Friday September 30, 2016 by the Receptionist, letting me know my parts would be in and I could bring my car in Monday ( Oct.3) I brought my car in on October 3, 2016 (Monday) at approximately 8:30 am, and made sure to tell the receptionist if there was any addition charge (over the stated estimated price) to call me. I later received a call from receptionist with Advanced Collision East at 10:08, leaving a voice mail stating it would cost $2000.00 more than the estimate price. Receptionist went on to list some of the items that were already on the preliminary estimated as an addition to the estimated price I advised receptionist I would be enroute to pick up my vehicle, being that the items were already listed in the estimated price. Receptionist, asked me to hold the phone line for a few to talk with J***. J***got on the phone and state I could not get my vehicle being I had already signed an agreement to allow them to fix it. I advised J*** of Advance Collision, I was on my way to his office to pick up my vehicle.Once I arrived at Advance Collision East, receptionist asked if I had talked to J*** about my car. I stated Yes and that I told him I was on the way to pick up my vehicle. I was advised J*** was meeting with someone and would be with me shortly. J*** came out and asked what was the problem and I told him, you estimated me a price and stated it would probably be a little more. A little more to me is $500.00 not $2000.00 more. I also stated the things that were on the estimated list are the things you stated was and addition cost. I am wonder how can you estimate something and later charge and addition cost of $2000.00 plus I was also told by J*** that I would have to pay three to four hours of labor and they only had my vehicle for an hour. During that hour Advance Collision East only took off my rear bumper and unplugged my back lightsI am highly upset with this company and believe they have been getting over on females, elderly and anyone else that was not paying attention to their Preliminary Estimate.
