Established in 1980, WRDV is a noncommercial, educational and public FM radio station that operates at 89.3 megahertz in Warminster Pa.; at 107.3 megahertz in Philadelphia Pa.; and 97.1 megahertz in Bensalem Pa. Operated by the Bux-Mont Educational Radio Association, a nonprofit organization, the station plays everything from the old standards of the 1920s and 1930s, to the Jazz Age, the Big Band era, and the early days of Blues, Rock and Roll and Country. Its disc jockeys also air rock and roll, rhythm besides offering blues, doo wop, acapella, local groups, soul and rare oldies. Serving an average of 20,000 listeners daily, it also provides public service announcements for other local nonprofit organizations and church groups as well as on-air access to those groups.
