Acme Corrugated Box is a real-time manufacturer of corrugated shipping containers and corrugated packaging products. The company s ultimate goal is to give a level of service unparalleled in the marketplace. In bringing real-time manufacturing capabilities to its customers, it helps free up cash flow and reduces required warehouse space while requiring less labor and handling. By practicing lean manufacturing, Acme is the low-cost producer in its marketplace. In 2001, the company moved to Hatboro, Pa., adjacent to the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The new facility is 234,000 square feet dedicated fully to manufacturing. Acme ships within a 200-mile radius of the Hatboro facility. Its staff totals 150 people and runs a three-shift, six-day operation.
