Hastings Volunteer Fire Company 1 has been serving city residents for more than 100 years. It is a full-service public safety agency that works to protect lives and property from fire, medical emergencies, and natural and man-made disasters through prevention, education and medical services. The company is comprised of various sworn officers and rescue operators. Hastings Volunteer Fire Company 1 was charted in 1914.
