- Criminal DefensePeter maintains a practice focused primarily on white-collar criminal defense and civil litigation, as well as providing advice on security and fraud issues, including corporate internal investigations and other special situation scenarios that confront organizations and responsible individuals in their interactions with the government agencies. Peter represented a labor organization in connection with a civil RICO action commenced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York and the subsequent negotiation of a consent decree in resolution of that case. Prior to entering private practice, Peter served as a law clerk to the Honorable John E. Sprizzo, U.S. District Judge, Southern District of New York and then served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, in a variety of positions, including Deputy Chief of the Narcotics & Money Laundering Section and as Financial Institutions Fraud Coordinator. He served as trial, appellate and lead investigative counsel in complex white-collar, organized crime, violent crime, narcotics and money laundering cases. He was a recipient of the Department of Justice’s John Marshall Award for Outstanding Achievement in Trial Litigation.

Core to his practices crisis management, leading immediate response teams on temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunction hearings. He also represents labor unions and local union membership at all stages, including negotiating collective bargaining agreements, NLRB proceedings, grievances and disciplinary actions through mediation and arbitration. Patrick is proud to have served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joseph M. McLaughlin at the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
