Head Start Child and Family Development Program, located in Hastings, Neb., provides comprehensive prekindergarten services to more than 1,200 children in over 15 centers. It provides a variety of services, including education, transportation, health, parenting classes, mental health family services, dental, parent involvement, nutritional and community referrals. Its even start family literacy program serves families with young children and offers classes in English as a second language and basic literacy skills. It provides children an early childhood program that emphasizes on early literacy skills. Head Start Child and Family Development Program offers monthly home visits for parent education and parent and child together time. The program serves families in Adams, Clay, and Hall counties in Nebraska.
