I am a Realtor and had recommended many clients to Alan Gray of Yankee Estate Sales. My last client was frustrated at the slow turn around time to report final sales, but other than that, feedback was always positive. That has forever changed since my own experience with them ending on 6/3/16. Alan agreed to do a full 3 day sale over Memorial Day weekend for my large Brewster home. I was told by a colleague that she was turned away at 12:30pm on the 3rd day, told that the sale was long over. There were still significant items not sold....yet they turned buyers away. But that is not nearly the real reason I am writing this review - read on! Part of their promise is to leave the home empty and broom clean. I was closing on 6/3, having the home professionally cleaned on 6/2, and they were very clear on my dates as our contract was signed on March 15th. The evening of 6/2, with a lot of major content still remaining, they promised they would be there at 6am on 6/3, the morning of my 10am closing, and that they would have everything out by 8am - the time the buyers were coming for final walk thru. I got there at 8am to find exactly what was there the night before...no call forewarning me. Alan arrived after 9am, by himself, with large furniture yet to be removed. He then went about physically destroying a bedroom armoire by hand, smashing it to pieces onto a brand new hardwood floor, with no protection of the floors, throwing pieces out the bedroom window. This was his solution to removing the furniture. I could go on....needless to say, he significantly jeopardized my home sale/closing, was rude to the buyers; anything but professional, and even after all was said and done, though he finally agreed not to charge me for 'clean out' - that is laughable - he verbalized that he could not understand why he had to eat that $1,300 charge. I cannot recommend this company any longer!

Yankee Estate Sales is a team of professional people who did a fabulous job of setting up, pricing, displaying and selling my estate, with great success!!!! They are knowledgeable, trustworthy and a pleasure to work with!!!! Thanks to their website/advertising, they have a good following and over 300 buyers came through my home. Because of their large client base, they suggested I print a sheet with the info. about my house, which I was about to put on the market. The house sold saving me any broker fees. During the sale, a Yankee salesperson discovered an envelope of $1600 dollars cash, in an umbrella stand, which they promptly gave to me. I would highly recommend using Yankee Estate Sales because they provide great service! They are dedicated to making your estate sale, the "BEST"!!!! Judith Phillips
