Hart County High School has an enrollment of more than 1,000 students in grades 9 through 12. It offers classes in language arts, math, science, social studies, and health and physical education. The school conducts career education programs in business, agriculture, family and consumer sciences, health occupations and construction technology. Hart County High School additionally provides advanced placement courses in biology, chemistry, physics and anatomy. Its sports activities include cheerleading, football, cross-country, volleyball, softball, wrestling, basketball, baseball, soccer, tennis and golf. The school features a media center that provides information services for students, faculty and staff and supports instructional programs through resources, materials, equipment and research skills instructions. Hart County High School maintains a special staff of bookkeeper, nurse, and health and nutrition specialists. It operates chess, key, anchor and drama clubs. The school is a part of Hart County Schools, which runs several elementary, middle and high schools. Hart County High School is located in Hartwell, Ga.
