CBIA is the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, one of the nation's largest statewide business organizations, with nearly 10,000 member companies. For more than 175 years, it has been the voice of business and industry at the Connecticut State Capitol. Its public policy staff works with state government to help shape specific laws and regulations to make Connecticut s business climate competitive and create jobs. CBIA s councils, committees and roundtables give members forums in which to become involved in the legislative and regulatory process. It provides members with information to help members better manage their businesses and conducts training seminars, workshops and arrange for consulting services. CBIA holds conferences on environmental regulations, health and safety, human resources, taxes, energy, health care, compensation and benefits. CBIA s members can use its employee benefits plans, including a health insurance program, retirement plans, COBRA continuation programs, eyewear savings plans and group purchasing opportunities.
