Unfortunately we have State Rules and Regulations to follow even if we don't agree with them. It is very sad that people would post such and negative comments online that would damage and hurt the facility. We do love our jobs and our residents.

I have only worked at Hartford Retirement Village for a short time now but i have never met a group of nicer people (residents and employees). The residents seem very happy and content there and the employees do whatever they can to keep them that way. I honestly was impressed the first day i walked into the place by how nice the retirement village was kept and how the employees seemed to really care about the residents, other employees and guest. I think that whoever owns this business should come and review the personnel there. The director, Anna Guess, is the most cruel, hateful person I have ever seen who is in charge of older people. There needs to be a "Housecleaning" of the personnel. Those people who live there are scared of being put out of their homes and are almost walking on eggshells. They think they have to be particular about what they do or say, or they will be put out next. Those people depend on the leaders to take care of them, and the personnel is not doing a good job. They think of this as only a job. This should be more than a job to them. They need to be loving, and compassionate people in dealing with the people who reside there. Some of the personnel are good workers and care, but Dale, Anna, and Cheryl need to be evaluated by the residents and the owners of the village and they should be treated as they treat the residents. BADLY! I hope when I get older, I do not have to reside at there.
