It operates completion and work-over rigs, swabbing units, hot oilers, high-pressure pump trucks, wireline units, and crude oil trucks and tankers. Beckman Production Services also operates oilfield brine disposal and mineral brine wells that produce concentrated brine. It is a subsidiary of Dart Energy Corporation, which provides crude oil and natural gas exploration and production; and oilfield-related transportation, construction, drilling and production services. Beckman Production Services has been operational since 1970 and maintains a location in Harrison, Mich.

      For years I have been driving by the airport in Harrison. I always smelled a strong odor similar to 90 weight used gear oil from a "fried" gearbox. I could never figure out where that smell came from. There's a restaurant and a bar nearby and I always thought, why would anyone go to these places with that smell. Today I realized that Beckman with the yellow trucks were there across the street from the airport. I wish they would move their operation out near where the wells they service are. That smell nauseates me and is probably a bad experience for visitors that come to the state park and get off US127 at the north Harrison exit.
